TeliaSonera has renewed and expanded its contract
with Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC), that was initially signed back in
2010. Ericsson will now perform field operation services for the
operator's fixed and mobile networks. As a result of contract
extension, Ericsson will also expand its footprint into eight new
regions which corresponds to a growth of 200%.
Ericsson will deliver Field
Services for fixed and mobile network. This includes work such as
installation, repair and delivery of new and existing customer
connections, both in the passive and active network.

Since 2003 Ericsson has been responsible for
managing field operation activities such as network field
maintenance, spare parts handling and inventory management in
TeliaSonera network.
