Teleflex, a leading global provider of medical devices for critical care, urology and surgery, will showcase its striking anesthesia portfolio, including regional anesthesia products, at the Euroanesthesia Congress in Stockholm, Sweden on May 31-June 3, 2014

During ESA, Europe’s largest and most attended Anesthesia Congress, Teleflex Incorporated (NYSE:TFX) will present its Arrow®, LMA® and Rüsch® brand key focus anesthesia products, including the EZ-Blocker™ bronchus blocker, the LMA® laryngeal mask portfolio featuring the Supreme™ second generation gastric access airway and a wide range of regional anesthesia products focusing on the echogenic Arrow FlexBlock® continuous nerve block catheter and Arrow UltraQuik® peripheral nerve block needles.

In order to enable hands-on experience of the products,Teleflex will establish several interactive areas at its booth:

  • Visitors will be offered the opportunity to take the LMA Supreme™ challenge. The main objective of the challenge is to prepare, lubricate and properly insert the LMA Supreme™ airway into the anatomical head following the 7 requisite steps in the correct order and in the least possible time.
  • The easy placement of the newly designed EZ-BlockerTM bronchus blocker can be tested on a special tracheal model.
  • The EZ-IO® Intraosseous (inside the bone) Vascular Access System that provides immediate vascular access for the delivery of essential medications and fluids will be demonstrated and can be tried out on bone models.

Teleflex will participate in the pre-congress Airway Workshop, where all the techniques/procedures related to Airway Management will be demonstrated and trialed by qualified physicians. Teleflex is proud to exhibit some of its best products for the purpose of education during this workshop: These will include the LMA Supreme™ laryngeal mask, the EZ-Blocker™ bronchus blocker, the EasyCric™ emergency cricothyrotomy cannula, and several of its standard products, such as the SafetyClear™ endotracheal tube and SafeView® laryngoscopes.

Vidacare, a global leader in intraosseous access, the developer of a broad technology platform that is defining the field of intraosseous medicine, is now a part of Teleflex. Current applications include vascular access, bone marrow biopsies and bone lesion biopsies. The EZ-IO® Intraosseous Vascular Access System complements Teleflex’s current Arrow® CVC and PICC portfolio.
