BOSTON (Thomson Financial) - Teledyne Technologies Inc. Thursday said
fourth-quarter net income rose to $26.6 million, or 73 cents a share, beating
the mean estimate of analysts polled by Thomson Financial of 68 cents a share.
A year ago, the company posted net income of $18.9 million, or 53 cents a
share, for the quarter.
Revenue for the Thousand Oaks, Calif.-based company rose 9.3% to $427.5
million from $391.3 a year earlier. Analysts, on average, estimated revenue of
$432.7 million.
For the first quarter of fiscal 2008, the company sees earnings of 63 cents
to 66 cents a share. Analysts are forecasting earnings of 66 cents a share, on
average.
Teledyne Technologies said its full year 2008 earnings outlook is $2.86 to
$2.94 a share, while the adjusted earnings outlook is $2.96 to $3.04 a share.
The mean estimate of analysts polled by Thomson Financial is for earnings of
$2.94 a share.
Shares closed Thursday at $50.
