LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Telecom Plus Plc. reported a 45 percent
increase in its full-year pretax profit boosted by a 49 percent rise in its
business club membership, an increase in customer numbers, and significant
growth in the number of distributors.
The low-cost multi-utility supplier posted a pretax profit of 16.8 million
pounds for the year to March 31, 2008, from 11.6 million pounds reported a year
ago.
The company declared a final dividend of 10 pence a share, taking the total
dividend payout for the year to 14 pence, up from last year's 8 pence.
It also said it intends to pay a total dividend of at least 17.5 pence for
the current financial year and a total dividend of at least 22 pence the year
after.
