(NASDAQ:TEAM), announced today that its Sytel division has received a one-year contract valued at $1.5 million from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS).
Under the contract, Sytel will be enhancing the existing AMS Market News portals, Fruit & Vegetable and Livestock & Grain. The award also includes requirements analysis, design and costing for the new Cotton, Dairy and Poultry portals. The Market News portals provide current reports on individual commodity harvests, pricing, movement and crossings, plus National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration agricultural weather information, news releases and conversion tools.
This work follows the completion of a successful project that identified enhancement requirements for Fruit & Vegetable and Livestock & Grain portal analysis, design and costing. Both this and the new task fall under a five- year agreement issued by AMS in December 2005.
