Targeted Genetics to Present Data on Several Programs at the 8th
Annual Meeting of the American Society of Gene Therapy
- Presentations Demonstrate Broad Potential of Company's AAV Technology -
SEATTLE, May 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Targeted Genetics Corporation's
(NASDAQ:TGEN) technology assets will be highlighted in 8 presentations during
the 8th Annual Meeting of the American Society of Gene Therapy. The meeting
will take place June 1 - June 5 in St. Louis, Missouri. Presentations will
focus on the Company's core product development programs and the utility of
adeno-associated virus (AAV) vector delivery technology. The Company uses AAV
technology for its current clinical product development programs targeting AIDS
prophylaxis and inflammatory arthritis. The Company also has a promising
pipeline of preclinical product development programs focused on hyperlipidemia,
congestive heart failure, and Huntington's disease. AAV can be used in general
to deliver a broad range of nucleic acids as disease therapeutics or
prophylactics.
