SEATTLE, Aug. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Targeted Genetics Corporation (NASDAQ:TGEN) announced today that it has appointed Roger L. Hawley to its board of directors.
Mr. Hawley brings over 18 years of expertise in the pharmaceuticals industry coupled with broad sales, marketing, business development and financial management experience. Mr. Hawley is currently Executive Vice President of Commercial and Technical Operations for InterMune Pharmaceuticals, a biopharmaceutical company focused on the research, development and commercialization of innovative therapies in hepatology and pulmonology.

Mr. Hawley also served as Vice President/General Manager of Sales and Marketing at Elan Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company, as well as held various management positions in corporate finance, sales and marketing, and regional sales at GlaxoSmithKline, Inc., a pharmaceutical company. His most recent position at GlaxoSmithKline was Vice President of Sales-CNS/GI Division. Mr. Hawley holds a B.S. in accounting from Eastern Illinois University.
