LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Tangent Communications Plc. said its full-year
pretax profit more than tripled, helped by a 102 percent jump in its sales for
the period.
The digital direct marketing business posted a pretax profit of 2.09 million
pounds for the year to Feb. 29 2008, from 690,000 pounds a year earlier. Revenue
more than doubled to 17.36 million pounds from 8.605 million pounds in the same
comparison
The company has declared a maiden dividend of 0.2 pence per share.
Tangent said it is seeing growth in its technology-based and online
activities and expects to see this growth offset any decline in its property
business. It added it is experiencing growth in high-margin digital services
such as e-commerce, websites, search marketing and email delivery.
Tangent said it is generally confident about the outlook for its business.
The company said it has appointed Greg Sean Jackson to its board as an
executive director with responsibility for online strategy, effective
immediately.
