TAIPEI (XFN-ASIA) - Taiwan Cooperative Bank (5854.TW) is considering a share
buyback, the Economic Daily News reported, citing chairman Liu Teng-cheng.
Liu added that the bank's shares are undervalued.
Taiwan Cooperative Bank closed at 25.35 twd yesterday.
The report quoted Finance Minister Lee Sush-der as saying that many
financial institutions are planning to buy back shares, which he hopes will take
place soon.
The ministry owns stakes in some banks, including Taiwan Cooperative Bank.
