    MUMBAI (Thomson Financial) - AUSTRALIA 
    The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 closed up 0.5 percent at 5,730.3, extending
Friday's gains to take the market to its highest level since late February on
broad buying led by the resources sector.

Qimonda, Centrosolar form JV, to invest 70 mln euros by September 2009
    FRANKFURT (Thomson Financial) - Qimonda AG., a subsidiary of Infineon
Technologies AG., and German solar company Centrosolar Group AG. said they have
formed a joint venture to produce solar cells based on silicon and plan to
invest 70 million euros by September 2009.

China Unicom chairman tipped as next China Mobile chief executive - report
    HONG KONG (XFN-ASIA) - China Unicom Ltd chairman Chang Xiaobing may be
appointed as China Mobile's next chief executive as part of a proposed
restructuring of China's telecom industry which could kick off as early as the
17th of this month, the South China Morning Post reported, citing unnamed
sources.
