Swisscom purchased Omni-Q to facilitate device selection and trial deployment of its next-generation, IMS-based network. IMS stands for IP Multimedia Subsystem, an all-IP wireless system, where data, voice and signaling are carried as IP packets. Swisscom will use Omni-Q to rate IMS infrastructure platforms and to verify a pre-launch, network and service model deployment.
