The Swedish krona strengthened against the euro in the early
European session on Thursday.
In economic news, data from Statistics Sweden showed that
Sweden's unemployment rate remained stable in February, defying
expectations for a decrease. The unadjusted jobless rate was
unchanged at 8.4 percent in February. Economists had expected a
rate of 8.3 percent.
In the same month of the previous year, the rate was at 8.5
percent.
Against the euro, the krona rose to a 9-month high of 9.0533
from an early low of 9.1207. At yesterday's close, the krona was
trading at 9.0895 against the euro.
If the krona extends its uptrend, it is likely to find
resistance around the 9.01 area.
