IFR Capital Plc ("IFR Capital" or the "Company"), the investment company focused on consolidation opportunities in the European food
retail sector, has noted the recent price movement in its shares.
There has been no material change since the announcement of its figures on 26th September. Trading continues to be good at the operating
level, indeed there are signs that the defensive qualities of the business are benefiting trading and this re-inforces the Directors belief
that this is a strong platform for growth. However, as stated in the Interims the Company believes that, in order to realise its strategy it
is a prerequisite that its capital structure be restructured.
The most important objective of IFR Capital in the second half of 2008 is therefore to improve the structure of its balance sheet. Given
the current terms of the preferred equity, it is essential that the preferred equity is refinanced, either by way of redemption or
conversion into ordinary equity or another similar instrument on acceptable terms to the Board.
