Industry Leaders to Focus on Increasing Liquidity on Market-Leading Platform, Expanding Market Data Products

State Street Corporation (NYSE: STT) today announced that James Reilly has joined State Street as global head of Currenex, a market-leading technology provider offering the FX community high-performance technology and access to deep pools of liquidity for anonymous and disclosed trade execution. Reilly will focus on expanding the business and creating new partnerships. Additionally, Stephen Dispenza has been promoted to global head of sales for Currenex, reporting to Reilly. Dispenza previously served as North American head of sales for the platform.

Reilly joins State Street from Cantor Fitzgerald, where he was most recently global head of Foreign Exchange Sales and Trading. He reports to David Newns, who assumes a newly-created role as global head of GlobalLink Execution Services.

State Street also announced that Beverley Doherty has been appointed global head of FX Connect, a market-leading FX execution venue that helps firms efficiently manage multiple portfolios, connect with brokers and streamline global operations. Doherty was most recently the chief operating officer and North American head for GlobalLink, State Street’s suite of e-trading platforms, technology, data and workflow solutions. Prior to that she held various roles in Currenex including Business Development and corporate sales. Doherty will also report to Newns.

FX Connect and Currenex were recently honored with three awards from Profit & Loss including ‘Best Platform for Hedge Funds’ and ‘Best FX Multi-dealer Platform’ for Currenex and ‘Best Platform for Asset Manager's’ for FX Connect. FX Connect was also ranked two in multibank and independent platform market share by Euromoney Magazine, up 6.5 percentage points from 2016.
