NEW YORK, March 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Ventas Inc. (NYSE:VTR) will replace Thornburg Mortgage Inc. (NYSE:TMA) in the S&P U.S. REIT Composite after the close of trading on Monday, March 10, 2008. Thornburg Mortgage is a mortgage REIT, whereas only equity-oriented REITs are currently eligible for addition to the index.
