Notification of Interests of a Person Discharging Managerial Responsibilities

The notification set out below is provided in accordance with the requirements of the EU Market Abuse Regulation.

Standard Life plc was advised on 9 November 2016 by Capita IRG Trustees Limited that the following interests in ordinary shares were acquired as a result of an election by a person discharging managerial responsibilities (PDMR) to participate in the dividend reinvestment plan ('DRIP'). The shares were purchased as a result of the reinvestment of the 2016 interim dividend of 6.47p per share. The purchase price of the shares was GBP3.363577 per share.
