LONDON--U.K. listed savings and investment business Standard Life PLC (SL.LN) said Tuesday that it has no intention to dispose of its shares in HDFC Standard Life Insurance Co. Ltd., as part of the Indian insurer's plan for an initial public offering.

Standard Life, through a unit, holds a 26% share holding in HDFC Standard Life and is in the process of increasing its stake to 35%.
