Spirit Airlines Adding More Flights From Boston
January 07 2015 - 11:30AM
Spirit Airlines (Nasdaq:SAVE) the first Ultra-Low Cost Carrier in
the Americas, is bringing more flights to Boston Logan Airport,
with new daily nonstop service from Boston to Las Vegas, and
seasonal service from Boston to Detroit and Cleveland, beginning
April 2015.
"Spirit continues to add flights to important cities like Boston
from Detroit and Cleveland, where our low fares have resonated with
Midwestern travelers," said Mark Kopczak, Spirit Airlines Vice
President of Network Planning. "And Spirit's ultra-low Bare Fares™
plus Frill Control™ are sure to be a hit with cost conscious
travelers in Boston heading to fabulous Las Vegas, where they can
spend more of their money on the hotels, the shows, and on the many
attractions only Vegas can offer, instead of spending the bulk of
their travel budget on airfare."
With these additional routes Spirit Airlines will now operate
nonstop flights from Boston to ten cities. Current routes include:
Atlantic City, Chicago (O'Hare), Dallas/Fort Worth, Detroit, Fort
Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Myrtle Beach, and West Palm Beach.
The daily service to Las Vegas and the seasonal service to
Detroit and Cleveland will begin April 16, 2015.
"With Spirit growing its routes from Boston Logan International
Airport to 10 markets, the low-cost carrier brings competition to
important markets," said Ed Freni, Massport's Director of Aviation.
"This is great news for New England because competition means lower
fares and travelers end up winning."
Spirit also offers connecting service from Boston to over 30
additional cities in the United States, the Caribbean, and Latin
America. Customers can check out the crazy low fares and vacation
packages available to all the destinations where Spirit flies at
