Karolina Guzman of Southern California Wins a Trip for Two to Japan
MIAMI, Aug. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- This Mother's Day, Benihana Inc. (NASDAQ:BNHNNASDAQ:BNHNA) offered moms across the country the chance to win two spots on Benihana's second annual Japanese Heritage tour by inviting all moms dining at Benihana on Mother's Day to register on the Benihana web site ( http://www.benihana.com/ ).
A random drawing was made from thousands of entries received, and Karolina Guzman of Hawthorne, Ca. was selected.
"My entire family loves Benihana so much that we waited for three hours on Mother's Day for a table. I'm even an Emperor's Club member," said Guzman after being notified of her win by Kevin Aoki, Vice President of Marketing for Benihana. "The only thing I have ever won was a stuffed animal in kindergarten. When they called me at work, I thought it was a big joke! I still can't believe I won." Guzman initially chose to bring only her brother Jose Guzman as her guest, but after learning of her prize, her family bought three more tickets so her mother and father, and son, 11-month-old Joshua, could enjoy this "once-in-a- lifetime experience" as a family.
Aoki, son of Benihana founder Rocky Aoki, presented the tour package to Guzman on August 10 at the Torrance, Ca. Benihana restaurant and will be personally escorting the travelers to his father's hometown.
