SPARK VENTURES PLC - CHANGE OF NAME TO GRESHAM HOUSE STRATEGIC PLC

SPARK Ventures plc (SPARK, or the Company) announces that, following the change in its investment policy to pursue a new Strategic Public Equity investment strategy in partnership with Gresham House plc, the Board has resolved to change the Company's name to Gresham House Strategic plc.

The authority to change the name was granted to the Board through a special resolution passed at the 2015 AGM held on 22 September. A further announcement is expected to be made in due course confirming the formal name change and other particulars.

The Chairman of SPARK, David Potter, said - "After the successful realisation of the majority of the old Spark Ventures portfolio we have evolved our investment strategy to that of investing in smaller, largely publicly quoted companies, applying private equity style techniques and due diligence alongside a value investment philosophy to a focused portfolio. Our new managers at Gresham House have a great track record in this arena and recognising this evolution we have renamed ourselves Gresham House Strategic."

Graham Bird, Head of Strategic Investments for Gresham House plc, said - 'Renaming the business as Gresham House Strategic is a further statement of our commitment to the new investment policy, by which we intend to generate superior long term investment returns.
