Healthcare Industry Veteran Joins Executive Leadership Team

Douglas Hires as Vice President of Product Management and Services. In this role, Hires will lead the product management group, and focus on growing the company's services and consulting business. Hires will work closely with the SoftMed executive team and report directly to the company's Chief Operating Officer.

In this position, Hires was responsible for managing FCG's direct sales force throughout the western half of the United States. In the first year of Hires' tenure, FCG realized a 19 percent revenue growth in the region. Hires also contributed to sales and marketing initiatives for FCG services, providing strategic direction in shaping the company's messaging; and to the service delivery organization, helping to bridge gaps in market needs and service capabilities.
Hires' professional experiences span more than 20 years, and include sales, consulting and management roles at Connectware, Inc., Hughes LAN Systems, and Wang Laboratories, Inc.
