BelAir Networks today announced that their industry-leading mobile
broadband mesh technology is being deployed to provide high-speed
wireless access at the Riverside Convention Center in Riverside,
California, the largest city in one of the U.S.’s
fastest growing metropolitan areas. The deployment supports the city’s
SmartRiverside initiative, which is focused on driving economic
development and digital inclusion programs and fostering technology
innovation in this fast growing high tech community.
“Wi-Fi is a key amenity for both meeting
planners and event attendees so we’re pleased
that the Riverside Convention Center will feature the same
industry-leading BelAir Networks technology deployed in world class
venues such as Lincoln Center in New York City and Dolphin Stadium in
Miami,” said Steve Reneker, Chief Information
Officer, City of Riverside. “BelAir Networks
products reflect and support the technology innovation that is
synonymous with SmartRiverside.”
BelAir Networks reseller, WirelessGuys, a leading wireless solutions
provider, is installing the network. High-speed Wi-Fi will be available
in time for the Inland Empire (IE)
Tech Week, sponsored by SmartRiverside. IE Tech Week kicks off on
May 12 with a Tech Expo
in the Riverside Convention Center, where BelAir Networks will be
exhibiting. IE Tech Week also features the Digital
Cities Joint State Briefing, a day-long thought-leadership forum
taking place at the Riverside Convention Center on May 13. BelAir
Networks Senior Vice-President, Ron Robinson, will present as part of a
panel on Local-Government Wireless Networks and the Role of Anchor
Tenancy.
“BelAir Networks high-performance wireless
mesh technology has been proven in large scale deployments. Leading
venues, such as the Riverside Convention Center, are looking for that
same level of carrier-class capacity and reliability,”
explained Dave Park, VP of Product Marketing, BelAir Networks. Dave will
be hosting live webcasts discussing "High-Performance Mesh Networks for
Stadiums and Venues” –
featuring a case study on the Indy Racing League –
on Tuesday, May 13 at 2:00 pm EST, and on Thursday, May 15 at 2:00 pm
EST. To accommodate attendees in Europe, Middle East and Africa, an
additional live webcast will be held on Thursday, May 15 at 2:00 pm GMT.
