NANJING (Thomson Financial) - Simcere Pharmaceutical Group said it has
agreed to buy a 70-percent stake in Wuhu Zhong Ren Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd for
64.82 million renminbi ($9.26 million) in cash.
Simcere, which makes branded generic pharmaceuticals and anti-cancer drugs,
said the deal for Zhong Ren, which specialises in anti-tumour implants, will
help it develop innovative new drugs and expand its anti-cancer portfolio.
