    Significant shareholder

    GTL Resources PLC (AIM: GTL), the US based ethanol production and project development
company, received notification today that Mr Simon
Phillips had on 9 July 2008 purchased 100,000 GTL ordinary shares at 21 pence per share. As a
result of this transaction Mr Simon Phillips
is now interested in 964,805 GTL ordinary shares representing approximately 3.0 per cent. of
GTL's issued share capital.
