NEW YORK (Thomson Financial) - Sharper Image Inc. shares rallied Tuesday,
after the specialty products retailer said it has signed five multi-year
licensing agreements for various new product categories.
The license with LG International Inc. is for high-end electronics, Pure
HiTech Inc. is licensed to sell Sharper Image-branded unlocked cell phones,
Sensio Technologies Inc. will license the Sharper Image brand for a line of
kitchen electrics, Futai USA Inc. will license feature-rich umbrellas and
packable rainwear, and Rilliant Systems Inc. will license a line of Sharper
Image-branded self-installed home surveillance and security systems.
Shares of Sharper Image rose 11% to $3.29. Volume was about 938,400 shares,
compared with the 30-day average of about 573,600 shares.
