KALISPELL, Mont., Aug. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Semitool, Inc. (NASDAQ:SMTL), a leading manufacturer of wafer-processing equipment for the semiconductor industry, has named Klaus Pfeifer as general manager of the company's Copper Interconnect business.
Pfeifer's 20 years of experience in the semiconductor industry have included extensive work in research, development and manufacturing. Prior to joining Semitool, he was program manager for copper low-k integration with SEMATECH's interconnect division. He also spent 18 years with Philips Semiconductors, which assigned Pfeifer to work with the SEMATECH consortium as program manager of interconnect in advanced dielectrics and metallization. Pfeifer held various other technology management positions at Phillips, including MRAM project manager and manager of several of the company's global equipment productivity and selection teams.
