BRANCHVILLE, N.J., Sept. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Selective Insurance Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:SIGI) announced the following appointments by its subsidiary, Selective Insurance Company of America ("Selective"): Laurie A. Slader (Morris Plains, NJ), to assistant vice president, actuarial reserving. Ms. Slader joined Selective in January 2006 as an actuarial manager. Prior to that, she was a vice president with Swiss Re Financial Services. Ms. Slader holds a B.S. degree in mathematics from Fairfield University, Fairfield, CT. She is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).
Jacqueline B. White (Centerburg, OH), to assistant vice president, commercial small business leader. Ms. White originally joined Selective in 1998 as an agency management specialist in Maryland, and was promoted to field operations manager for Selective's operations in Ohio, Kentucky and Michigan in April 2004. She left the company briefly to serve as regional vice president for the Hanover Insurance Company before rejoining Selective in April 2008. Ms. White earned her B.A. degree in communications from Salisbury University in Salisbury, MD and holds designations as both a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and a Certified Insurance Customer Service Representative (CICSR).
