(NASDAQ:SCOP), a provider of digital video networking solutions, today announced that at the 2008 NAB Show, booth SU11228, it will present comprehensive systems for digital content distribution and advanced encoding/decoding for contribution. These solutions feature advanced compression, bandwidth optimization, and enhanced modulation techniques designed to meet the critical requirements that broadcasters, content providers and satellite operators face as they deal with increasing demand for HD programming.
Scopus will display its award-winning HD DVB-S2 news gathering platforms, intended for content providers, broadcasters, studios, and broadcast networks, which take full advantage of DVB-S2 modulation efficiency improvements to provide up to 30 percent bandwidth savings. Also on display will be a headend integrating the latest in H.264 and statistical multiplexing technologies. Addressing teleports and content providers, the headend is targeted for content distribution to various infrastructures including cable, satellite, IPTV, and terrestrial facilities.
Scopus will also introduce the UE-9610 real-time mobile TV encoder, which enables simultaneous video and audio streaming to multiple mobile platforms. The UE-9610 is a cost-effective solution for leveraging existing infrastructure to provide services to this rapidly growing market.
