NEW YORK (Thomson Financial) - Scientific Games Corp. Tuesday named Joseph
Wright chief executive officer, effective Jan. 1, 2009.
Wright is currently the chairman of Intelsat. He will leave that position on
May 1 to become the vice chairman of Scientific Games's board. Wright is
currently a director at Scientific Games.
He succeeds A. Lorne Weil as chief executive. Wiel, who is leaving his
position because his contract will come to an end, is also the company's
chairman, a position he will maintain through 2009 and for at least two
additional years beyond that, the company said.
Shares of Scientific Games closed Monday at $26.74.
