SAN FRANCISCO (Thomson Financial) - SciClone Pharmaceuticals Inc. late
Friday said that Chief Financial Officer Richard Waldron has resigned to pursue
another professional opportunity.
While Waldron's resignation is effective at month's end, he will remain a
consultant to the company for at least one year, SciClone said.
The company said it will begin a search for a successor immediately. In the
interim, President and Chief Executive Friedhelm Blobel will serve as acting
CFO.
Shares of the Foster City, Calif.-based biopharmaceutical company finished
the regular session down 2 cents at $2.
