MUMBAI (Thomson Financial) - Sapient Corp, a US-based business consulting
and technology services company, said it will start its first knowledge process
outsourcing (KPO) facility in India before November.
Sandeep Dhar, managing director of Sapient India, would not divulge
investment details for the proposed outsourcing business but told Thomson
Financial News that the company has cash reserves of 150 mln usd and is
currently looking at starting its own facility rather than acquiring an existing
one.
Dhar said the company plans to add 2,000 people to its existing 6,000 strong
workforce by the end of 2008.
