SAN FRANCISCO (Thomson Financial) - Sapient Corp. late Thursday swung to a
fourth-quarter net profit of $9.17 million, or 7 cents a share, above the 5-cent
mean estimate of analysts polled by Thomson Financial.
The company posted a net loss of $1.1 million, or a penny a share, in the
year-earlier quarter.
Revenue rose to $160.7 million from $119.1 million, versus the mean Street
estimate of $146.7 million.
The Cambridge, Mass.-based consulting-services company said it sees a
first-quarter adjusted operating margin of at least 7.5% and service revenue of
at least $155 million.
The stock closed the regular session down 22 cents, or 3.4%, at $6.24 but
rose 11% to $6.91 in after-hours trading.
