NEW YORK (Thomson Financial) - Sapient Corp. reported third-quarter adjusted
income from continuing operations of $12.5 million, or 8 cents a share,
exceeding the mean estimate of analysts surveyed by Thomson Financial of 3 cents
a share.
Revenue rose $146.4 million from $111.1 million in the same period a year
ago, topping analyst forecasts of $135.7 million, with service revenue rising to
$141.6 million from last year's $106.9 million.
The Cambridge, Mass. consulting services company said it expects
fourth-quarter services revenue to be at least $146 million.
The stock closed Thursday's regular session at $6.38.
