BOSTON (Thomson Financial) - Sandy Spring Bancorp Inc. Thursday reported
fourth-quarter net income of $8.4 million, or 51 cents a share, above the mean
estimate of analysts polled by Thomson Financial of 50 cents a share.
Net interest income rose 16% to $27.4 million from $23.6 million in the same
period a year earlier.
Shares of the Olney, Md.-based holding company closed at $29.73 on
Wednesday.
