NEW YORK (Thomson Financial) - Saba Software Inc. reported late Thursday
third-quarter adjusted income of $1.7 million, or 6 cents a share, beating the
mean estimate of analysts polled by Thomson Financial of 5 cents a share.
In the same period a year earlier, the company posted adjusted earnings of
$534,000, or 2 cents a share.
Revenue for the period ended Feb. 29 rose 10% to $27.4 million from last
year's $24.9 million. Analysts had expected sales of $27.5 million for the
quarter. License revenue rose 34%, while OnDemand revenue increased 8%.
The Redwood Shores, Calif.-based provider of of human capital management
software and services expects fourth-quarter adjusted earnings of about 9 cents
a share on revenue of $29 million to $30 million.
Analysts, on average, are looking for earnings of 9 cents a share on revenue
of $30.1 million for the fourth quarter.
The stock closed the regular session at $3.65.
