NEW YORK -(Dow Jones)- Citigroup Inc. (C) said Monday that Geoffrey Dennis will take on a newly-created position as global emerging markets equity strategist.
Dennis, who most recently served as Citi's director of research for Latin America, will be in charge of analysis on key global themes and investment opportunities and will work with the firm's strategists and economists throughout Asia and Latin America, as well as emerging Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Dennis will continue his role as Citi's Latin America equity strategist.
Matthew Hickman will replace Dennis as director of research for Latin America. He joins the firm from Credit Suisse Group's (CS) asset management division where for the last six years he was head of Latin America equities for the emerging markets group.
The transition will be complete by early January, Citi said in a release.
