environment in the UK and the likelihood of tougher markets elsewhere.

Shares in Tottenham Hotspur jump 8.2 percent to 144.5 pence
after the AIM-listed Premier League soccer club sells star player Dimitar
Berbatov to rivals Manchester United for 30.75 million pounds.

other players over the summer including Robbie Keane to Liverpool for over 20

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Shares in Belgravium Technologies Plc. slide 12.2 percent in the
wake of interim results, with WH Ireland paring back its forecasts in response.
The company, which designs and manufactures mobile computers and
real-time electronic data capture systems, says for the six months to June 30,
pretax profit fell to 72,000 pounds from 1.02 million, and omits its interim
dividend.
WH Ireland reduces its full-year pretax profit estimate for 2008 to
390,000 pounds from 810,000, and for 2009, to 1.12 million pounds from 2.20
million, and says it looks likely the company will also pass the dividend for
the full year.
Reuters Messaging rm://tricia.wright.reuters.com@reuters.net
The broker downgraded its 2008 pretax estimate to 3.7 million pounds,
from 3.9 million previously, while for the following year it revised its numbers
down from 4.1 million pounds to 3.7 million. It says the downgrades reflect
increased economic uncertainty.

Shares in Oxford Biomedica slump 9.5 percent as U.S. veterinary
specialist Genethera Inc says it is not proceeding with its bid, and
follows a rejection by the biotech last month when it said the bid as not
credible. "It's a consequence of the kind of people that would have been
trading into the stock around the time of this very speculative bid. The reason
why you own it would have been removed if you are that type of private investor
and you're wishing to get out," says Sav Neophytou, analyst at Panmure Gordon.
