LONDON--Utility firm SSE PLC (SSE.LN) said Thursday it has
bought The Energy Solutions Group Topco Ltd., a Manchester-based
designer and provider of energy management solutions, from
Bridgepoint Development Capital, for an enterprise value of up to
72 million pounds ($122.14 million).
The Perth, Scotland based electricity firm said Energy Solutions
has an enterprise value of GBP66 million, and it will pay an extra
GBP6 million if agreed targets are achieved.
Energy Solutions works with private and public sector customers
to identify improvements in their management of energy consumption;
and to install, maintain and support building management systems
and solutions that support this.
Shares at 1435 GMT down 7 pence, or 0.48%, at 1455 pence valuing
the company at GBP14.18 billion.
