NEW YORK (Thomson Financial) - SAVVIS Inc. reported Tuesday third-quarter
earnings of $5.3 million, or 10 cents a share, exceeding the mean estimate of
analysts polled by Thomson Financial of 1 cent a share.
In the same period a year earlier, the company posted a loss of $13.6
million, or 27 cents a share.
Revenue for the period ended Sept. 30 fell to $190.3 million from $193.7
million last year. Analysts had expected $196.7 million for the quarter.
The company sees revenue of $197 million to $200 million for the fourth
quarter. Analysts polled by Thomson Financial are looking for fourth-quarter
revenue of $207.2 million, on average.
