LONDON--Aero-engineer Rolls-Royce Holdings PLC (RR.LN) on Monday said it has clinched a contract worth $6.2 billion to provide engines for 65 planes belonging to airline AirAsia X Bhd.

The order, which also involves long-term support for the engines, will result in a $3.7 billion increase in Rolls-Royce's order book, the company said.

Shares at 1356 GMT, up 2 pence, or 0.3%, at 811 pence valuing the company at GBP15.3 billion ($24 million).
