Roberts Realty Investors, Inc. Announces Date of Annual Meeting
of Shareholders and New Chief Financial Officer
ATLANTA, May 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Roberts Realty Investors, Inc.
announces that its Annual Meeting of Shareholders will be held on Wednesday,
July 21, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at the Crowne Plaza Ravinia Hotel, 4355 Ashford
Dunwoody Road, Atlanta, GA 30346. Shareholders of record at the close of
business on June 7, 2004 are entitled to be present and to vote at the meeting.
In unrelated news, the company announces that it hired Greg M. Burnett as its
Chief Financial Officer effective April 1, 2004. Mr. Burnett brings extensive
experience to his new role as CFO. He is a CPA who served the last seven years
as Chief Financial Officer of The Reagan Companies in Salt Lake City, UT.
Previously, he was the Vice President and Midwest Region Controller of Gannett
Outdoor Group in Kansas City, MO. Earlier in his career, Mr. Burnett worked
for a regional CPA firm based in Kansas City, MO.
Mr. Charles R. Elliott, the company's former CFO and current member of the
company's Board of Directors, was involved in the selection process of the new
CFO. Mr. Elliott stated, "I believe Mr. Burnett's background and business
