Robert Jones has joined Union Bank, N.A., to head its Aerospace &
Defense Group where he will lead a team of professionals providing a
broad range of financing and related banking services to companies
across the industry. Jones is part of Union Bank’s National Specialized
Lending Group that provides financial expertise to commercial clients
including debt financing, capital markets, depository and cash
management, foreign currency and interest rate risk management, global
trade, and private banking services across a broad range of industries.
Jones has more than 20 years of experience in corporate and investment
banking. Prior to joining Union Bank, he was a director in the aerospace
and defense team at CIT Group, and previously held similar roles at
Wachovia Securities and CIBC World Markets. During his career, Jones has
worked with a broad array of aerospace and defense companies, including
most of the major prime contractors and original equipment
manufacturers, and many of their supply chain partners, both in the U.S.
and overseas. He has also worked extensively with investment bankers and
private equity investors focused in this sector.

Jones received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Western
Ontario, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
