LONDON -(Dow Jones)- Rio Tinto PLC (RTP) expects an initial public offering for its Cloud Peak coal business before the end of this year, Chief Financial Officer Guy Elliott said at an investor seminar Friday.
Cloud Peak Energy Inc., composed of most of Rio Tinto's coal assets in the western U.S., in August registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission to sell shares in an IPO.
