BUDAPEST (Thomson Financial) - Hungarian drug maker Richter Nyrt revised
down its domestic sales forecast but remained buoyant over exports, apart from
to the United States, where it said it expected a slight decline.
Sales in Hungary would fall 5-10 percent this year, said chief executive
Erik Bogsch after the release of first quarter results this morning. Earlier
Richter had forecast a decline of 5 percent.
Bogsch added that Russian sales would grow by over 10 percent in euro terms,
while sales in the Ukraine and other CIS countries would rise 15 percent. He
added EU sales would rise over 10 percent.
But Bogsch said he saw a slight decline in U.S. sales after a decline in
prices and volume sales in the first quarter.
