LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Rheochem PLC said its New Zealand subsidiary,
Rheochem Pacific Ltd, has been awarded an extension of its contract for the
supply of drilling fluids and related engineering services to geothermal wells,
to be drilled by Contact Energy Ltd.
The company said this is the third contract extension with Contact Energy
and adds a further fifteen months to the existing contract which began in March
2005, and is now valid until March 2009.
Rheochem added it sees enormous growth potential in the area of geothermal
energy in Australia, New Zealand and other locations in the south east Asian
region.
