Rewards Network(SM) Announces Changes to Its Airline Rewards
Programs; 'Elite Members' Will Earn 10 Miles per Dollar
CHICAGO, July 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Rewards Network Inc. (AMEX:IRN) has
announced a new variable mileage award structure for its airline programs. The
program's new tiered structure awards members up to 10 miles per dollar,
depending on loyalty and dining frequency. This new schedule encourages
members to earn an increased number of miles the more they dine at
participating restaurants.
The three member program tiers include "elite," "engaged" and "active," each
with corresponding mileage awards, bonus opportunities and a roster of
restaurants, depending on how frequently the member uses the program: * "Elite members" who dine 12 or more times per calendar year to receive five
miles per dollar spent and have the greatest number of restaurants from which
to choose. "Elite members" also will enjoy a double bonus between July 1, 2005
and June 30, 2006 allowing them to earn a total of 10 miles per dollar spent at
all restaurants (whenever a benefit is being offered).
* "Engaged members" receive three miles per dollar spent simply by creating an
online user profile or by dining at least four times per calendar year at
participating restaurants. This membership tier offers more restaurants and
more bonus opportunities than the "active member" tier.
* "Active members" are those who dine at least one time per calendar year and
who have not created an online user profile on the applicable airline dining
program web site hosted by Rewards Network. "Active members" receive one mile
per dollar spent at participating restaurants for their first three dines
(during the same calendar year) plus periodic bonuses.
Membership in each of the airline dining programs managed by Rewards Network is
free, and members who dine at participating restaurants will continue to
receive miles based on the entire check amount (including the cost of the meal,
drinks, tip and taxes) when charged to a credit or debit card that is
pre-registered with Rewards Network(SM).
"Rewards Network offers a rich and meaningful mileage-earning benefit
opportunity at over 10,000 restaurants throughout the U.S. and Canada," said
Ronald L. Blake, president and CEO of Rewards Network Inc. "With the Elite
bonus offer, our members will now earn 10 miles per dollar spent at all
participating restaurants. For example, just one business dinner with a $150
check will earn an Elite member 1,500 miles. It's an easy way to earn miles
when you're dining out." Rewards Network operates the official dining loyalty program for 10 airline
partners. The programs include: American Airlines(R) AAdvantage Dining(SM) and
AAdvantage Hotel(SM), Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan Dining & Hotel Rewards,
America West(R) FlightFund(R) Dining, British Airways Executive Club Dining,
