LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Rambler Metals and Mining Plc. said it plans to
start the pre-feasibility study at its Ming copper-gold project on the Baie
Verte Peninsula of Newfoundland, Canada, after its scoping study confirmed the
resource at the project is of sufficient size and grade to move ahead.
The company said the scoping study considered a 4,000 tonnes per day
underground mine producing a copper concentrate with gold and silver credits,
with a mine life of 12 years.
Rambler said it will commence the pre-feasibility study, which is most
likely to be a two-phase operation, to determine the optimal mine-plan.
Environmental permitting of the mine is expected during 2009, with the
objective of re-commissioning the mine in 2010.
