ADTRAN®, Inc., (NASDAQ:ADTN), a leading provider of
next-generation Gigabit software defined access solutions, today
announced it is hosting its 8th semi-annual Broadband &
Business Solutions Summit (BBSS) on April 18-21, 2016. The event,
held at ADTRAN’s headquarters in Huntsville, Alabama, is showcasing
the transformative economic and social impact Gigabit and other
high speed broadband services have on communities across the
country. Attendees are also exploring the future network state
driven by highly automated, programmable, scalable and open access
networks required for rapid service creation and delivery.
ADTRAN has expanded its event programming and messaging to
ensure attendees leave with an unfiltered, holistic view of the
technical and business opportunities that Gigabit broadband has to
offer. Harrison Diamond, from the City of Huntsville, will share
first-hand experiences for building a Gigabit city during his
keynote presentation. BBSS attendees will also hear from ADTRAN
executives and research scientists on current innovations and the
future of Network Functions Virtualization (NFV), Software Defined
Networking (SDN), network design for Gigabit services, automation,
G.fast, Super Vectoring, NGPON2 and other developing technologies.
Finally, attendees will have the opportunity to look behind the
scenes during tours of ADTRAN’s research lab and facilities, as
well as network with industry peers throughout the event.
“The goal of our Broadband & Business Solutions Summit is to
provide carriers, service providers and key IT decision makers with
the tools required to deliver a transformative Gigabit broadband
experience for their customers that will spur entrepreneurship and
economic growth,” said Mitch Fleming, vice president, service
provider sales, ADTRAN. “The general managers, network planners,
network engineers and consulting engineers visiting our campus will
come away from the event with a practical understanding of the
software defined Gigabit access solutions that will drive their
business and define their future networks.”
The Broadband & Business Solutions Summits have proven
popular with thousands of service provider participants over the
years. Attendee feedback continues to be outstanding and everyone
who attends learns something new about ADTRAN’s solutions or
services.
“Our participation in previous Broadband & Business
Solutions Summits has given our team a true understanding and
appreciation of how ADTRAN continues to shape the future of
broadband. It’s extremely enlightening to learn more about the
future of broadband innovation from the hardware and software
developers’ view, while also hearing of new directions from other
service providers,” said John Greene, CEO, New Lisbon Telephone
Company. “I am grateful to ADTRAN and their co-sponsors for taking
time from their day-to-day activities to assemble such a great
collection of industry professionals.”
