SAN FRANCISCO (Thomson Financial) - RF Industries Ltd. on Friday reported
fiscal second-quarter net earnings more than tripled, rising to $542,000, or 15
cents a share, from $178,000, or 5 cents a share, in the year-ago period.
Revenue in the quarter ended April 30 climbed 33% to $4.51 million, the San
Diego-based maker of communication equipment said.
The company's shares rose 30% to $8.20 on volume of 80,000 shares versus a
30-day average volume of 2,162.
