RCG receives recognition from the RFID Technology Community
RCG Holdings Limited (AIM: RCG), a leading global provider of integrated
biometrics and RFID security solutions, is pleased to announce that the Group
has been awarded the title of "Best RFID system integrator in China" and the "
Most well known RFID leading company in China". RCG gained these awards at the
3rd China international RFID technology Forum 2008 and Technology Exhibition
held between 27 and 28 March 2008 in Beijing. The event, hosted by the China
Ministry of Information Industry, the Ministry of Science and Technology, Asia
Pacific RFID Association and Tsinghua University, is one of the measures taken
by the Chinese government to accelerate the wider deployment and acceptance of
RFID in the country and encourage further development in the field.
The forum attracts participants from multinational companies including RCG,
Oracle, Avery Dennison, IBM, NEC, and Nokia. The forum committee, which is
responsible for the award selection process, has made the awards to RCG in
recognition of the significant contributions the Group has made to the
development of RFID in the Chinese market.
Tsinghua University and the Asia Pacific RFID Associations nominated RCG for the
awards which were decided following a strict three-month selection process of
screening and voting from a candidate pool of over 100 organisations including
governmental departments, media, RFID alliances and multinational companies.
Commenting on the awards, Dr Raymond Chu, CEO and Chairman of RCG Holdings
Limited, said: "These awards signify and confirm the outstanding achievements
RCG has made and continues to make. Acknowledging the ever-growing acceptance
